New chair

I now have my own chair!

Well I haven't posted for a long time but I have been very busy.
Zack is in a lovely new home in Guernsey but has missed out on most of the snow. Not sure about the snow myself but at least it is better than mud.
I have a new friend called Levi who is very handsome and guess what - I am in charge of him! That has never happened to me before but I get to boss him about a bit.

Been too busy to post

Saffy didn't stay long and was off to her new home in a few days but Zack was here until today. It is quiet without him although he did keep on and on and on sometimes - he just couldn't understand sensible greyhound ways resting after every burst of energy for several hours. I had to tell him off many times for being silly. I will miss him though because he was fun and we used to chase around the garden and sometimes the house too. when he got naughty he had to go in his crate so I would look at him. Once I even got him into trouble in his crate because he had lovely treats and I didn't so I kept saying I wanted some and could we play. I even learned to be a bit dominant with him which is a new thing for me - well he was new and a boy!
Mum has said that we will get a new friend though and he is going to be a greyhound or lurcher. There is a lovely greyhound called Rodney in Bristol who has had a very difficult time and could be a perfect boy for us.
Might go and meet him in a few weeks - and guess what - he is black like my old friend Ollie.

We aren't ready for a new friend yet but Zack and Saffy are staying in our garden kennels for a while. I love running around with Zack - we had such fun this evening. We chase round and round my favourite tree.
I love meeting other dogs. Although I did have to tell him off because I had stopped for a rest and he wanted to carry on. Zack is a big staffie x and Saffy is a white GSD.

Only 2 left now!

My good friend Ollie got very ill when everyone except grandma and grandad was away. We were very worried and we miss him lots. Luckily mum came home so that felt a bit better. Everyone is very sad especially Muffy the lurcher.

Back to 3 again

It has got really boring round here now - I have to make all my own fun. Maggie went off with a nice family and we haven't had any new visitors. Noone will be moving in for along time because mum and all will be off on holiday and they don't want to leave me in charge of the new dog while they are away. I could do it all for grandma but noone listens to me. I am pleased that Muffy is happy now though and we do have a bit of a play sometimes.
Been spending a lot of time in the garden recently - don't know what mum and dad are up to - can't see the fun in pulling plants up. Will be glad there are less of those poky and stingy things though. Mostly in this heat I have been sleeping. I got a bit red on my bald bits and mum tried to attack me with a tube of aloe vera so I ran away and hid! Torturing your pet is illegal, you know. Now I keep an eye out for any tubes of cream. Mum says it is probably a reaction to the grass becasue it is onmy tummy a bit too and I do not roach in the garden - very undignified, mentioning no names Ollie.

Hello again. Been smelling all that lovely chocolate stuff that I am not allowed.... we had bones but they were taken away when my little friend Maggie decided they were all hers - I don't take any notice of that but she went for Muffy so away went all the bones. Not fair at all. If anyone wants to see where my friends come from it is www.furryfriendsrescue.co.uk or www.rescueremedies.co.uk . We will be having a rest when Maggie goes so I'll have to just play with Muffy again. But I'm sure we'll get a new friend soon. What I didn't realise is that not all dogs live in kennels before they find a home! Some of them - the slow ones like Maggie and Rhea who would really never make very good racers ( I think non greyhounds basically) don't even try to race. They are born and go into homes although they haven't got their homes anymore. So sometimes they are very sad in kennels whereas I didn't even know what I was missing. And do you know what most of them don't get to share with a friend- us greyhounds nearly always have a friend to snuggle up with and keep us company but these stray dogs have to live in a kennel on their own - that is very sad. Some of them have never had a doggy friend so don't like other dogs. They have such different problems to us greyhounds but at the end of the day they have the same problem - finding a loving family.
